Innovate UK Transformative Technologies award winners Qube Buildings, set to reach new heights after winning competition grant from Innovate UK
Qube Buildings has recently won the prestigious award for a significant grant from Innovate UK Transformative Technologies, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI.) As a small business that sustainably source, manufacture and supply to the UK, Qube Buildings are able to demonstrate development and adoption of resource efficient solutions, in the advancement of technology and materials for the future in construction, by bringing to market the Bio-SIP (Bio- based structural insulated panel)

Bio-SIP™ sustainable building system provide superior insulating properties using fully sustainable materials, including PET foam core derived from 100% recycled plastic bottles, organic materials such as flax or hemp fibres, and sugar resin to form a strong and watertight exterior. These materials in conjunction with each other provide a lightweight, high performance alternative to traditional SIP’s in the current market. Qube Buildings construct modular buildings and garden studios using Bio-SIP™ system, which offer unmatched thermal stability, noise cancelling properties and can help achieve buildings that conform to Passivhaus standard.

buildings and garden studios so far. With Innovate UK as a key funding source, Qube Buildings are set to disrupt the current construction market with inspiring and innovative design, whilst hugely benefitting from expert advice, facilities, and further development of technologies, owed to winning a competition grant from Innovate UK. The grant funding will be put toward gaining BBA certification, ensuring our product meets the necessary regulations for the construction industry.
