Qube Buildings Secures Innovate UK EDGE Grant for Bio-SIP™ Fire Resistance Testing
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the development of our groundbreaking Bio-SIP™ sustainable modular building system. Qube Buildings has successfully secured an RTO/Catapult grant from Innovate UK EDGE, a valuable boost to our mission of revolutionising construction and promoting sustainability.
This grant, generously provided by Innovate UK EDGE, is a testament to their unwavering support for our vision. It will play a crucial role in advancing the Bio-SIP™ by facilitating an essential fire resistance test, specifically, the EN1365-1 test at BRE Group. BRE Group, renowned globally as the gold standard in testing and certification, is the perfect partner to ensure the rigorous evaluation of our innovation.
The EN1365-1 fire test is not for the faint-hearted, subjecting materials to extreme conditions. Temperatures reach an astounding 842°C for 30 minutes and an even more challenging 945°C for 60 minutes. It’s a severe examination, but it’s essential to ensure the utmost safety and durability of our Bio-SIP™. To pass, our Bio-SIP™ must endure a minimum of 30 minutes under a substantial load of 1500 kg. The successful completion of this test is a testament to the quality and reliability of our product.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Innovate UK EDGE for their continued support and belief in the potential of our Bio-SIP™. This grant demonstrates their commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, and the growth of revolutionary ideas.
At Qube Buildings, we remain dedicated to reshaping the construction industry with eco-friendly and efficient solutions. This grant paves the way for even more exciting developments in the near future, and we look forward to continuing our journey towards a more sustainable and resilient future.
Stay tuned for updates on our progress as we work diligently to meet and exceed the highest industry standards. Together, we are building a brighter, greener future.
